A clear, high resolution photo is best which shows clear detail. My photography tips page has a lot of information on lighting, angles and the best tips to get that perfect photo. The better the photo, the better the portrait.

Please get in touch if that is the case, and share with me what you have. I have done many memorial portraits, making adjustments and combining photos to create the best outcome. While there are some photos I just can’t work with (I will know when I see it), I have worked with lower resolution and photo combinations with a fantastic outcome.

Absolutely not. While I have a few that were, most of combined portraits I have done have been from seperate photos, it’s quite easy to create that combination as long as they are from the same angle. I will talk you through this when we are selecting photos.

My pricing and sizes are listed here. Pet portraits are hand drawn and painted and take many hours with expensive, top quality artist materials. If you are unsure about the size, I will work with you when I see the photos to get the best portrait possible within your budget.

It depends on the portrait, the size and how complex it is. Anywhere from at least 20 up to 100 hours. I usually have a waitlist and will be able to give you a timeframe when you enquire.

Unfortunately, pet portraits is not a process that can be bought outright from the store. I need to work with you to make sure you have photos I can work from, create mockups and find the best sizing for you.

However, there is generally a waitlist, so if you are wanting to make payments towards it before its due to split the cost, that is absolutely fine.

I will work through this with you, as a lot of photos will work great with both mediums, some are more suited to one or the other, depending on the quality of the photo.

Oil paintings come varnished, with the sides painted, and ready to hang. They don’t need to be framed under glass. You can opt to frame these or hang them as is - I also attach hanging material to the back.

Charcoal drawings, absolutely yes. These are mounted and backed ready for the framer, but they need to be framed under glass for protection. I would recommend taking them to a framer for UV protection glass, but if that is out of your budget, I will work with you for the best sizing so it can fit into a store bought frame.

My portraits also come with care instructions.

Very carefully! With many layers of cardboard and protective packaging and sent via tracked overnight courier (rural can take a couple of days longer). I’ve never had any damaged so far (touch wood!)

Top quality! These are photographed professionally from a fine art photographer and printed professionally on high quality paper with archival inks. They look fabulous and so much like the original.

Yes. While my prints can be bought directly from the store for a lot of countries (please get in touch if your country doesn’t come up), pet portraits and wildlife work are quoted separately. Please note that some countries have import duties payable on arrival.
